In a volatile world, traditional companies and business models are challenged

to re-invent themselves to stay successful, while start-ups are called to efficiently use the optimum business-model development strategy for their specific situation. Amazon’s Jeffrey Bezos has long reiterated the importance of staying in ‘Day 1 mode’ – that is, optimising business models and reacting flexibly to market changes. Jack Ma has for several years spoken of a c2b business model, that shifts its views on customer demand.
